Statute 448.09: It is unlawful to knowingly employ, hire, recruit, or refer for employment an unauthorized worker. The first violation is a civil violation and upon conviction shall be punishable by a civil fine of not more than $500, regardless of the number of aliens with respect to whom the violation occurred.
